If the bulb backlighting the LCD in the instrument cluster goes out, you can't see what gear you are in or how many miles you have on the tank of gas (if you keep track of it that way). It's a real pain. Anyway, I just replaced mine. Part was available from Land Rover Redwood City as an overnight order. Tiny and not too expensive. Part number YAW1020. OK, time to get the truck ready for the Oregon Discovery Trail 2010. It's about 500 miles to the trail head, 200 miles of trails and 450 miles home. All this in 6 days.
