I see there is a section to pay the fees for this event but I do not see a section for those that have already paid - a list of all who are going.
I will be showing up with my three boys early Saturday morning and staying through until Sunday afternoon.

Wish we could do that steven, but it would be to much work for not much return. You can check who REGISTERED on the Event registration page. If everyone REGISTERS when they pay you will have your list.

I have the first overland land rover trip from London to Singapore (about 40 minutes long) on an external hard drive, plus some other cool videos. Is there anyway it can be hooked up to a projector so we can show it on the big screen like we do slides? It might be cool to watch it at the Hollister event. The hard drive does need a power source (regular plug in) and a laptop to go through.

Steven, I can get the same projector as last year. It will project whatever a PC displays so if you can run that video on a PC we can project it. I can bring a laptop if need be also.

perhaps someone could "borrow" a video projector from work, combined with a laptop and Chuck's generator, might make for a nice large screen presentation..

I already offered a projector in my last post. We had my projector setup last year showing a power point presentation from a Laptop. We are covered on this unless someone has better stuff that what we used last year.

Amazing to me as this seems, I may actually be able to attend this event after all. :D The brilliant people at the scheduling department of ESPN decided that our crew would do the big, exciting match up of Louisiana Tech @ Boise State on the Wednesday night before. I still have my doubts about their wisdom, because as of today I'm scheduled to fly into a hurricane in Florida Thursday for a game on Saturday. I'm hoping we get switched to someplace more hospitable.
This is amazing in a number of ways. First to have a weekend off in the middle of football season is huge. Second, I will have the chance to watch my oldest son play high school football for the first time. Then to participate in this event would make all the travel worth it to be with friends and fellow Rover fanatics.
I'll grab an ESPN banner to throw into the prize stash. Oh, and I'll bring my camera gear was well to capture the fun a frivolity.
I am however waiting until the travel reservations are confirmed before making the payment, because when you work for the Mouse & Co., they could send you anywhere. That can be good and bad

Just as expected, I just got the word today that my crew was assigned to the ASU @ Cal game on the 4th on ABC. That would fall under good news/bad news catagory. Great to get the extra work (3 games in 1 week) & not have to get on a plane, but I was looking forward to enjoying the entire experience this year.
I'm determined to squeeze in work & play. Here's what I'm thinking, it's going to be tight scheduling. The game is at 12:30 pm on Saturday. I always figure 3+ hours for college football, off the air around 3:45. Strike takes about 2 hours. I could then head home (15 minutes away), pack & be out again by 6:00 pm. That would put me in at 8:30 pm to the site.
I'm guessing most of the activities would be completed by then, so it would be a bit of drinking then crash. Is there a schedule of events published yet?
My other option would to wait & drive down Sunday morning. Still contemplating my options...

Things will be winding down about that time Jim, but there will be socializing etc going on. Sunday AM is the Cerrone's Breakfast, then a trail run if you are so inclined. Most who stayed overnight will head out around noon Sunday.

Campfire on saturday is a blast!

Not too late to joint the festivity! Sat nite camp fire/enjoying your favorite beverage was good last year, and like Gary pointed, we have the B-fast prepared by Cerrone's, and Sunday morning trail runs.
If you get there at night, with the trees along Cienega road, you can't easily see the camp ground and could pass us up at night. Just remember we are in Area 5 on the Hollister map, post back if you need the GPS coordinates.
C yah there!

Wild Orchid honestly is a bit on the lower end. Not a place suited for the taste of us Land Rover folk IMHO. The Gentlemens Club behind the national bowling stadium would be a better choice. They have a sushi buffet!!

I dont know either....ha. I just remember spending a my bachelor party at that place, I thought it was called Purple Orchid, but maybe I was a not paying attention, and it was a great time...like 6 years ago. Then we went to some places in SF for a friends party, now those were lower end...I was like WTF?
Having lived for a few years in HB with a "dancer" and traveled to LA, Vegas and all with her and her friends, I may be have become a bit snobbish...but put a beer in me, and I don't seem to care...
