Just got back this weekend. Saw Frank there as well, along with another Defender. Ton's of fun -- with not too much carnage...

I drove, and my co-pilot was pretty lousy with the Camera... But here are some shots...

Definitely some rocks and a few scrapes on the way in. Also a number of tight squeezes working my way through rocks..

The new sliders bore up well -- used em quite a bit. Also the RTE bumpers and diff protection. Carnage came from a pretty solid hit on the RTE bumper when I was being spotted through an obstacle by a newbie...luckily that is the body panel being repaired but you can see the physics of that hit must have really made that bumper flex...

Plenty of other good stories too ... but what happens on the Rubicon stays on the Rubicon...

Frank and Tyler met us at the Springs. They slept in a bit on the way in -- we were there by 2.00 and they got in around 5 or 6.

Same thing on the way out -- we left early -- got to the lodge by 9:30 -- they made it out a bit later...

Was that rear quarter panel one that just got replaced? That must have been some hit:eek:

It is the one that hasn't been replaced yet... You can see how the RTE bumper flexed when it hit -- bumper is alright -- but popped out the quarter panel. Good thing my body guy didn't work on it yet!

Chuck nice run, again sorry I couldn't make it

whats up with highway reflector, looks like highway 80 to me

arm outside, shame on you?

Sporting new head gear aren't we, I would have expected a Vike bandana

And lastly, your spotters shirt doesn't qualify as a suitable substitute for a set of rubber testicles hanging from the rear bumper

Way to go Chuck!

I like the head gear as well! I didn't recognize you at first; thought it was Chuck's evil twin on Pirate4x4! Lol! Pretty cool!

Check off the bucket list!

Hope you could lead us on a trip to Rubicon with properly equip Rovers next time! I have new project in mind (addition to my DII and CT110), but gonna have wait when I get my next next sales bonus! :)

Cheers! Again, way cool!

Well done, Chuck! Those are BIG rocks and narrow places. A real challenge. Sorry about the quarter panel. It looks like the front of the wraparound flexed up and did the sheet metal in. Not good.

Sweet Chuck and Frank!! If you guys EVER need a co-pilot for the 'Con, Call me!!! That's one trail I don't plan on having a rig capable enough to conquer.
