Overkill protection?

I'm replacing the tie rod with a Rovertym, the diff already is protected by a QT. If I add BP's steering/skid plate would that be overkill?

Only if you never ever break any of those things again......then yes.

Otherwise, always better IMHO to overengineer and stay the course.
