Club members,
You missed a great event in the desert. NCLR,SCLR,Arizona,San Diego and host club LAS VEGAS were there.
Great rides from easy to hard. Take your pick.
History and views also.
Great camaraderie and the plenty of good food at PSR (not to mention a bar).
A family event.

Lets get a larger contingent from NCLR next year.
It's usually held in April.

Preliminary...... not for circulation......

Saturday night at RR8 I had a conversation with Hovik (president of SCLR)

His comments were;
- different venue for RR9 for sure
- getting all clubs involved, Las Vegas, NCLR, SCLR, even San Diego
- venue would rotate to each club, say NCLR next year

I mentioned Hollister Hills, area 5......

As Hollister doesn't have the same level of "historical" interest as Death Valley, we would have to liven it up with some more focused event planning such as blindfold runs, obstacle courses, GPSing, etc to make it as much fun for everyone...

I'm liking the concept, a lot. I have to start buying some of the "must have" items in order to start participating of the overnight outings. My wife is way too spoiled (and it's all my fault) and shies away from events requiring "roughing it" in the wilderness. I need to warm her up to the idea with nice cots and comfortable mats and sleeping bags and such! The idea of taking dumps in plastic bags to carry with me afterwards doesn't apeal a whole lot to me either but I'm a little more adventurous in that sense than she is.
Bottom line, it may take me a bit but I'd really like to get out in touch with nature a lot more than I have in the past and share the experience with a great bunch such as you guys are!
