I kinda grew out of the having a stereo worth more then my car phase and just not motivated to upgrade the stock radio in my disco, and even if i was, it would probably be pretty modest. So I am content with my tape deck/cd changer for now. I haven't bought or listened to a CD since I bought the first iPod in 2001. So I bought some CD-R's and going to make some mix CD's for my LR.

Figured it would be a fun thread and see everyone musical tastes.

So what would be your ultimate mix CD for road trips/4wheeling?

A CD-R holds roughly 17 songs, you can list 17 or just a few that are must haves...

My list

1. Tool - Schism
2. Buckethead - Padmasana
3. Metallica - Of Wolf and Man
4. Jedi Mind Tricks - Tear it Down
5. Lloyd Banks/Eminem - Warrior Part 2
6. Dr. Dre - Let Me Ride
7. Nelly - Country Grammar
8. Eazy-E - Real Muthaphuckkin G's
9. Faith No More - Epic
10. Jurassic 5 - The Influence
11. Beastie Boys - Shadrach
12. ZZ Top - La Grange
13. Guns N' Roses - Welcome to The Jungle
14. Van Halen - Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
15. Primus - My Name is Mud
16. Judas Priest - Breaking The Law
17. Linkin Park - Lying From You

This (http://cgi.ebay.com/BMW-Mini-iPod-car-adapter-digital-interface-BMWI_W0QQitemZ380006822281QQihZ025QQcategoryZ58350 QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 ) is one of the next things I'm getting for RovrFlo, and here's (http://www.landroverforums.com/m_55949/tm.htm) a review of the install. It's $80 compared to the $150 version on AB. You'll still need a separate charger with the AB kit too. But if that's not your thing and you want to just list some music here's what you'll hear from my iPod:

Joe Satriani
Steve Vai
Metallica (up to the black album)
Van Halen
AC/DC
Frank Zappa
Led Zeppelin
Pantera
Jimi Hendrix
Megadeth
Black Sabbath
Guns N' Roses
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Ozzy Osbourne

you know, Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Rock

p.s. My cd changer makes a clicking sound like it wants to load another disc, even when the engine isn't running. It doesn't matter if the cd tray is in or not. Time to add that to the pile of stuff to get rid of.

I like everything, except most country.......
I might have to try that digital interface.
