Hollister addition?

Daphne mentioned a new addition to Hollister when she spoke at our last event. We had kicked around the idea that the NCLR be the official sponsor of that new addition, e.g., be responsible for clean-up, upkeep, repairs, etc. Has anyone followed up on this?

Who do we want to do this, DOA David.....(Dir of Affairs, not dead)?

Do we get in contact with the Head Ranger at Hollister, or Daphne?

I recommend 2 things to focus on over the next 6 months

1) On a Club level, demonstrate our willingness to support Hollister with frequent visits to the park to include PR visits with Park Director inquiring on how we can make a difference or volunteer for various maintenance or clean up programs.

2) On a BOD level, contact Daphne to request a meeting to discuss requirements or prerequisites to becoming a trail sponsor.

I am willing to work on both, especially number 2

Perhaps when the "back 18" open up, the NCLR can be the group to do the inaugural run!

I don't want to let this fall to the wayside folks. Once word gets out that a club can "sponsor" this section, I believe we will have competition. Let's beat everyone to the punch!
