Has anyone seen this Rover before?

After dropping my fiance at work last Saturday I saw this Rover around Turk and Van Ness on the way home. I didn't know what it was until I saw "Rover" on the front quarter panel driving by. Since the camera was with me I stopped and grabbed some quick pics. Anyone have some info about this rig?

Looks like a classic converted to a truck

If you look at it carefully you can tell it's been shortened. The panels don't line up very well. The polish cap around the bed looks hand made as you can see the waves in the sheet metal.

Def not a factory job but rather a garage project.

This didn't have any BMC signage or dealer plates so I wouldn't think so. And I couldn't see them leaving this out all night, these pictures were taken around 9 am. Dunno.

Agree with Chris. Obviously a chopped classic. Makes for a head turner for sure.
