Well, I am on the fence between Ford/Chevy as I like Tbirds, but not mustangs and the Chevy Trucks, but then I like the old ford tbuckets...
But either I need someone with 48" tires, no idea on "light foot" on the gas and a "I can do it" attitude for assistance/trail clearing or at least for entertainment...

How can you not like Mustangs...? That's...just not right!
I'l take you for a spin in my 5.0 powered Ford Ranger when you come up, that should for sure sell you on Ford trucks...:D

And my wife had one when I met her, one she had built with her Dad and Brothers.....They look ok, but I don't like driving them (hood to high I think)...same with Falcons..from the 60's, like the rounder nosed ones...
If I had my way, huge ol' Caddy with the fins and the drop top, the 62-64 Lincoln, the Nova II in a drop top...Tbird, early.....
I had a Baptist Preacher friend that had a 57 Chevy with a circle track race engine in it, fun like nothing else....and I have seen/ridden in some fine Mustangs. Even Corvettes really are not my cup of tea...
I think it is the lines, I like box cars....and the hoods....I like a low nose, not a boat nose....all the Mustangs (older, not the newer ones) made me sit low and back and I had trouble seeing over the nose...

Well, I'm gonna have to play this one by ear as I have family visiting over that weekend. I'm not sure if my sister and my daughter would consider spending one of their vacation days off roading as fun. But if they do, I'll see you guys there. Sounds like a nice group is showing interest, not to mention the last minute aditions.

I was planning on going but it seems that the D1 is getting sick, so I got to make an appoinment with the Cerrone Doctors and if I'm lucky, I'll join you.

I'll be there again. Last time was a blast and I can't wait to see how the lift and sliders handle the trails this time.

Ended up with the Cooper STT's in the same size I have now (275/65R18). They're around .2"-.3" taller, so I'll have lots of molding/trimming to do

Yeah Mike, I'm a Ford truck kinda guy...I'm a moderator on very large Ford truck site. I have two Rangers in fact, the '89 with the 5.0 and a '68 F250 Ranger Camper Special that's about to get a Cummins transplant.:D

No, it's a 2wd supercab. I'm still working out a few bugs in the EFI wiring but I expect to have it on the road pretty soon. Been a way longer project than I'd planned, that's for sure...
