I have a couple of saturday's off now and then during the month and Hollister is not that far from here. I'm up for the last minute Hollister trip now and again. Not sure about the tank trap though :D

The BOD discussed setting the first Saturday of every month as "NCLR at Hollister Day". An informal gathering to wheel, socialize and have some fun.

I think that's a good idea. It would give club members an opportunity to try out that latest incremental improvement or scratch an off-road itch before it becomes a crisis. I know the upper ranch is closed sometimes on weekends for special events, particularly in the summer, so I'm not sure how a standing date would work out. Worth checking though.

Now, that's what I call a great idea! I'm there :D. Im one of those who suffers from the "off-road itch" after too long of not getting out. A monthly "sleaves up" saturday at Hollister to start meeting the rest of the crew would be great!

was it in 4 Wheeler? i saw an article in there where readers sent in their worst stuck pics and one of 'em was in Hollister. the article mentioned they might do it regularly.

I love the idea of informal monthly gatherings at Hollister. Given the levels of difficulty there, it seems like a good place to see the progress in my offroad driving skills. Each time becoming more comfortable pushing myself a little further. I haven't been offroading before and can't wait to start the learning process and getting to know you all better. I just watched the Pismo '06 vid Ron posted and I'm all giddy now:)
